What you will study
Year 1 – you will develop visual language skills with a variety of media including a combination of computer-based processes and techniques using industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Suite), also incorporating use of traditional media and materials.
Year 2 – you have the choice of pursuing either the Graphic Design or the Photography pathways. Specialist areas in the Graphic Design pathway includes digital capture and editing, advertising, typography and publishing. Specialist areas in the Photography pathway include landscape/architecture, studio, film and portraiture.

How you will be assessed
Year 1 – four main assignments
Year 2 – two main assignments + Final Major Project
The National Diploma is coursework and unit based.

Gallery visits, research trips as well as visiting speakers from universities and industry to discuss career paths. ‘Live’ assignments set by industry professionals. Past clients range from Sky TV, Barclays, Professional Imagemaker, Greene King cakes and a number of local and national charities and businesses.

You will build a strong portfolio that will allow you to apply for top university places or go on to work in the Creative Industries, in full-time employment or apprenticeships. Other options include progression onto the Art Foundation course.
